Andrew joined the AbleTech team in November 2011 and brings with him 14 years of experience in people and event management, as well as brand development/management predominantly in the non-profit sector. He is someone who firmly believes everything communicates something with one of Andrew’s goals being to ensure that AbleTech’s marketing communications are in-line with the great service our clients have come to expect.

Cameron Prebble

Cameron Prebble

Technical Consultant, BSc/BCA

Starting in 2007 as an intern with the Summer of Code programme, Cameron has gone on to develop a bank branch location service, an air and water quality mapping solution and has also contributed to AddressFinder. Cameron’s goal is to provide the best solutions for data- visualisation and mapping with a strong focus on user interaction.

Stephen Davis

Stephen Davis

Technical Consultant, BSc

Steve started as an intern through the Summer of Code programme in 2008. He has worked on the Journey Planner and Address Finder services. Another of Steve’s achievements is Mapsicle – a project he completed which puts markers on Google’s Street View imagery. Steve’s goal is to map everything that is worth mapping.

Shevaun

Shevaun Coker

Shevaun started with AbleTech in January 2011. After graduating from the University of Waikato Shevaun moved to Wellington where she joined the IT Applications team at the Ministry of Social Development working on a range of RoR developments. Shevaun’s goal is to make our customers lives easier by building fun, functional and user-friendly software which meets business needs.

After getting a kick start to his career with the 2007 Summer of Code internship programme, Jeremy comes to AbleTech with solid experience creating customer focused products and working on data-centric applications, having worked extensively on PlanHQ and heaps!, a Personal Financial Management Service now offered by KiwiBank. Jeremy’s goal is to build innovative web applications which provide an awesome customer experience.

Joseph Leniston

Joseph Leniston

Technical Consultant, BBI/BCA

Joseph joined the AbleTech team in October 2011 and brings with him seven years of development experience. He started his development carrier working on an Enterprise Java application at the Ministry of Social Development. Joseph has loved the transition to using Ruby on Rails which focuses on providing high quality applications that meet users needs with a minimum of overhead which, in Joseph’s opinion, is what software development is all about. Now Joseph is returning to Java to take on a new challenge building Android Applications. Joseph’s goal is to build innovative applications that help people and business complete new tasks and reveal new insights by taking advantage of the features now available in modern mobile devices.

Ryan French

Ryan French

Technical Consultant, BDI/BCA

Ryan gained great experience with Sharesight in 2010 as an intern through Summer of Tech and in completing his study joined the AbleTech team in November 2011. He loves all things design especially in the context of web design and development and strives for web design that is functional and easy to use as well as looking aesthetically beautiful and clean. Ryan loves using the latest HTML5 and CSS3 standards and wants to leverage his skills in Javascript to create richer front end web design. His goals for the future include continuing to develop his front end skills to create better web design and a richer experience for people and down the track, he sees himself starting his own design studio.

Cameron F

Cameron Fowler

Technical Consultant, BE

Cameron was introduced to AbleTech as an intern through the 2010 Summer of Tech programme and was a part of the AbleTech team part-time throughout 2011. In completing his study, he is now a permanent fixture on the AbleTech team and amongst other things is currently working on MapMySites which is an SaaS Locator under development at AbleTech. He aims to hone a set of skills that will allow for lightning quick solutions to complex problems. In his spare time you are most likely to find Cameron either rock climbing or in front of an iLive-T112 digital mixing system, good times!

Naiki Pohe

Naiki Pohe

Intern

Naiki is currently a Summer of Tech intern with AbleTech. She’s originally from Tokomaru Bay on the East Cape and moved to Wellington in 2006 to study a BE in Software Engineering. Naiki is a 2011 finalist for the Anita Borge Google Scholarship and 2012 sees her studies completed. She has a particular interest in front-end web development and enjoys contributing to the development of user friendly systems and providing effective solutions. Naiki’s also an active member of Te Rōpu Āwhina at Victoria University, where she contributes to helping Māori and Pacific Island students succeed in their computer science studies. As a staff we’re also enjoying her daily Maori language lessons in the office, ka pai!

Sean is currently a Summer of Tech Intern with AbleTech. He has just completed his third year at the University of Victoria in Wellington towards a BE in Software Engineering. Sean has an interest in web and mobile applications including Android and iPhone and loves seeing the end product. Sean’s goal is to develop functional yet usable products that meets customer’s needs.

Calvin Kaye

Intern

Calvin is currently a Summer of Tech Intern with AbleTech. He is about to enter his fourth and final year at Victoria University completing a Bachelor of Engineering and aiming to graduate with honours. He loves software development especially in the area of web development and enjoys applying creativity to software in order to solve real life problems and developing applications which make people’s lives easier. He is looking to expand his web development skills and experience and is really looking forward to graduating at the end of 2012.
