I’ve been enjoying listening to New Zealand native birds as ringtones on my iPhone. Here is one of my favourites – the Korimako, or Bellbird [164 kB].
You are welcome to share this with your friends and redistribute – as long as you retain the copyright information contained within the file.
To add it to your iPhone, just download the file and then double click it. It should open iTunes and import itself. It will be copied to your iPhone next time to connect it to your computer.
Let me know in the comments if you like it, and I’ll create some more. Any requests?
Nice!
Have you got the wingbeat sound from a Kereru? That would make a great “mail sent” sound.
Cheers and thanks
Colin
Sorry Colin, I don’t. If you’re able to source me an MP3 of the wingbeat sound, I’d be happy to create a ringtone file for it.
Cheers
Nigel
Just what I have been looking for it would be great to have the full range of New Zealand Native birds as ring tones and be able to assign them to different people. I would particualry like the Tui, Kereru, little spotted Kiwi, weka, Kea, Morepork, rifleman, and robin.
Thanks for producing and sharing the bellbird ringtone.
Cheers
Paul
I’ve got too many Macs, iPods, and iPhone as it is.
I would LOVE to download this ringtone to my iPhone, but when I click on the link, a whole page of black diamonds with question marks appears on the screen! What am I doing wrong?!
Right click on the link, and choose Save As.
Thanks Nigel. For an oft homesick NZer overseas this is an absolute blessing.
